County assessor puts longtime associate on paid leave (The Press-Enterprise) As a probe into his office continues, San Bernardino County Assessor Bill Postmus placed one of his top deputies on paid leave Thursday. Postmus released a statement saying that Assistant Assessor Adam Aleman is on administrative leave. He did not provide a reason.
